NATIONAL CONTENDER

Valentino aka "Brody"

Our boy “Brody” was born in Germany in March 2017 and was exported to the United States in May 2020. I chose Brody for his exceptional pedigree; his sire, Buckingham, is a top dressage stallion, and his dam is from the powerful Contendro I jumping line. Brody has always possessed a remarkably smart and confident presence.

He has been a gentleman and willing to trust from the very first day I started developing him. We originally purchased him for eventing where he quickly excelled in both the dressage and jumping phases. In his first season, he was named Novice Horse of the Year, and in his second season, he won the Area 7 Training Level Championships at just six years old.

Moving into his seventh year, Brody continued to excel in the dressage arena. He earned High Point Second Level honors at recognized dressage shows and qualified for the Area 6 Championships at both Second and Third Level. He finished his seven-year-old season by taking third overall in the Third Level Open Championship division.

Dressage

In 2025 I decided to step away from personally competing in Eventing so I could concentrate on advancing Brody’s dressage without the added time and pressure of continuing to jump him.

I think we made the correct decision because in 2025 we also won the USDF, End Of The Year Fourth level, Master’s Challenge Award and during our very first season of freestyle competition, we were nationally ranked 16th out of 110 competitors on the USDF list, with an average score of 71.16%.

Our goals for 2026 are to finish the qualifications for our USDF Silver Medal Rider Award, the Silver Medal with Distinction and the Freestyle Silver Medal Bar. If all goes well we are considering adding Prix St. Georges to our show schedule.

Prince William aka "Joey"

Every time I step into the saddle, Prince William (aka ‘Joey’) proves why he’s so exciting to ride. With the mental attitude and work ethic of a world-class athlete, he inspires me to give my absolute best.

Joey has exceeded our expectations, competing at the Advanced and 4-star international levels. As a top cross-country horse, he captivates fans with his powerful, expressive gallop as well as his tremendous show jumping scope.
